This session will explore strategies for optimizing Oracle licensing, especially in the face of unlimited licensing agreements (ULA), on-premises dependencies, and increasing subscription-based models. You will gain insights into how to gain better control over Oracle costs, understand the impact of server movements on database expenses, and prepare for cost optimization during mergers and acquisitions.
Mikkel Veum-Søhoel has extensive experience in Software Asset Management, starting as a contract manager at Telenor in 2000. He transitioned to overseeing SAM services for enterprise customers at EVRY in 2006. In 2014, he joined Sykehuspartner, where he led the SAM function within the SACM team. By 2017, Mikkel was instrumental in establishing a dedicated SAM organization with four full-time employees, highlighting his expertise in building and managing SAM teams.
