The Pop in Your Job
What I appreciate about my role as a Software Asset Manager at Essity is the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues globally and bringing value to Essity. Previously, I worked in identity management, and managing software assets shares some similarities. I have a strong interest in software development and its potential benefits for the company. Software vendors frequently change their regulations, creating new challenges and opportunities for us. My objective is to stay abreast of these developments while maintaining oversight of our assets. This involves identifying effective processes and communicating them to relevant stakeholders in an appropriate manner. It is crucial to convey the When, Where, How, and Why of following these processes. Achieving excellent results requires patience and energy, qualities which I possess in abundance.
Louise Bäckman has been the Global IT Sourcing Manager at Essity since 2015, responsible for Global IT Applications and IT Services across the company’s business application portfolios. She collaborates closely with key stakeholders to drive cost-saving initiatives, optimize supplier portfolios, and implement effective Supplier Relationship Management frameworks tailored to market and business needs.

Her skills also extend to supplier evaluation, process management, and strategic program development.

Her work has consistently centered on leveraging procurement strategies to foster innovation, cost efficiency, and robust vendor partnerships.
