In 2025 Lundbeck is undertaking the transformative journey to streamline its Software Asset Management practices. Previously split between global and local SAM structures, the company is now centralizing all responsibilities under a unified global SAM team. This includes taking charge of all contracts and licenses, implementing a new SAM tool, and managing decentralized systems previously handled locally. This shift is more than operational—it represents a maturity leap for Lundbeck’s governance process, ensuring greater consistency, efficiency, and compliance across departments. This presentation will explore the challenges and opportunities of consolidating fragmented SAM practices, the transition from siloed data management to centralized oversight. Attendees will gain insights into Lundbeck’s approach, key lessons learned, and actionable strategies for implementing effective SAM centralization in organizations.
